Praise be to God!
September is bringing us blessings upon blessings. We can't wait to see what else God has in store for us.
First we were blessed to host pastor Zamani and his wife who came to visit us from Zimbabwe from August 29th until September 12th, and they are flying back to Zimbabwe on September 15th. We had some great times of fellowship, prayers, and we look forward to be together again some day when God opens the opportunities to visit them. This time also afforded us some planning time for GFSA in terms of our overall vision and strategic direction in the coming months, and to tackle a list of objectives God has put on our hearts for the work at hand.
On September 3rd, pastor Zamani preached at our local Church (Our Father's House -- OFH) on "A Faith for a Lifetime" and our congregation was blessed by his message and by the work of the Spirit among us.
We have also been blessed beyond measure by Our Father's House (OFH) who have made the completion of the toilet block at the school in Zimbabwe possible through their offerings.
Words cannot express how thankful and blessed pastor Zamani and I are with the support we have received from our brothers and sisters at OFH, and what this sacrificial giving will mean to the children on the ground -- we were accomodating 250 students with a rudimentary "3-at-a-time" facility which lacked running water and which was a consistent source of sanitary concerns, especially in the light of a recent cholera outbreak.
The Zimbabwe Army Corps of Engineers have already committed to stay on the site and to offer us their ongoing free labor until the full completion of the project.
We will update you with ongoing pictures as the wall, the roof and the plumbing work takes place and as we offically complete the project and open the block for our students.
In the next few weeks, we will feature updates on specific students at the school (names and pictures) so you can get remotely acquainted with our student body.
God Bless to All.
